2012 Standard Vehicle Mileage Rates - The standard mileage rates for the use of a car (including vans, pickups, or panel trucks) for 2012 is:

•    55.5 cents per mile for business miles (remains the same)
•    23 cents per mile for medical or moving purposes (previously 23.5 cents)
•    14 cents per mile for charitable work (same as last year)

E-file returns - All individual and trust returns must be e-filed.  A taxpayer may opt out of filing electronically by filing Form 8948.
